Who Should Students Meet With, and When?

The program and course selection processes can be difficult to navigate, as students have to shuffle between their education abroad adviser and academic adviser. Please review these pages for a better idea of who can assist students with which parts of the process.

Recommendations and Course Equivalency Reviews

Many Penn State faculty and advisers will be asked to write a student's education abroad recommendation or review course equivalency requests (CEQs). If you have been requested as a recommender or assigned as a CEQ reviewer for your department or college, please see the pages below for more information on each process.

Resources to Guide Students

We have created pages to assist students through every step of the education abroad process, and these pages hold the answers to many of the most frequently asked questions. As such, we are providing them here so that you can see what information we are sharing with students - but we don't expect you to become the expert! Students are always welcome to stop by the Education Abroad office to meet with a peer adviser, or they can schedule an in-person or Zoom appointment with the education abroad adviser for their selected program.
